Squishy Circuits Resistivity

چکیده
Electrical resistivity describes how much a certain material resists electrical flow. Every material has an associated resistivity, ρ, which is constant. Conductors, such as copper have a low resistivity, while insulators, such as glass, have a high resistivity. Resistivity is an important property of any electrical object because it directly relates to the resistance, which relates to Ohm’s law. Ohm’s law relates voltage, current and resistance, making if a powerful and unifying equation describing the behavior of all electrical circuits.

Squishy Materials
stances they use in the kitchen and the bathroom are not simple liquids or solids. Everyone is familiar with three states of matter: solids, liquids, and gases. However, creams, shampoo, toothpaste, and ketchup all have properties of both liquids and solids. This paper describes demonstrations and laboratory exercises1 that show intriguing properties of squishy substances, defined as materials ...
متن کاملResistivity Tensor Imaging via Network Discretization of Faraday's Law
A resistive network based anisotropic resistivity reconstruction method is introduced when three sets of internal electrical currents are given. Faraday’s law is discretized using resistive networks for an anisotropic resistivity body such as a muscle or nerve fiber structure of an animal body. The resistivity tensor imaging method of this paper may provide another approach to find the fiber st...
متن کاملAnalysis and Behavioral Study of Substrate Noise Coupling in Silicon Integrated Circuits
In this paper the behavioral study is presented on uniformly doped silicon substrate. Resistivity and thickness of substrate is varied and analyzed. It is observed that with the increase in resistivity and decrease in thickness of substrate, crosstalk problem existing in mixed circuits is reduced. FEM technology is used and HFSS simulation is done for S parameter extraction for 1000*1000*tμm2 s...
متن کاملTREC 2005 Question Answering Experiments at Tokyo Institute of Technology
In this paper we describe Tokyo Institute of Technology’s submission to the TAC2008 question answering (QA) track. Keeping the same theoretical QA model as for the TREC2007 track, developed for factoid QA, we investigated the effects of retrieving blog data versus web data for rigid list questions. For squishy list questions we relied on sentence retrieval, similar to how we approached “other” ...
متن کاملInvited paper SOI Technology: An Opportunity for RF Designers?
This last decade silicon-on-insulator (SOI) MOSFET technology has demonstrated its potentialities for high frequency (reaching cutoff frequencies close to 500 GHz for n-MOSFETs) and for harsh environments (high temperature, radiation) commercial applications. For RF and system-onchip applications, SOI also presents the major advantage of providing high resistivity substrate capabilities, leadin...
